Low Fat Banana Bread

With the new year came my determination to eat healthier.  With that, I have found a new Low fat banana bread which actually taste really good.  One could even take this recipe a little further and use Splenda instead of the regular sugar it calls for.

LOW FAT BANANA BREAD

Ingredients
1 ½ cup flour
1 ¼  teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla
2 servings of egg substitute or 2 egg whites
1 cup Mashed banana
¾ cup sugar
¼ cup applesauce

Directions
Combine banana, egg whites, applesauce, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.  Add dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, and baking powder, salt) until well mixed. Pour batter into bread pan sprayed with cooking spray.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the loaf comes out clean.
